The Light

In the abyss that we call home,
there,
on the top of the highest hill,
a small glimmer of light shines through
..
We don't know what that light could be,
but every time we see it,
even for an instant when it comes and goes
we get a strange feeling
....
my mother once told me that feeling is called
Hope

We grab on to that feeling with all our might,
and someday, we will get out of this abyss,
and join up with the beautiful light
